NES question

I have a friend, who has the awful NES blinking on mostly all games now. I
tried to buy the new connector, but it still has problems. Is there any
trick to installing the connector? Because, if I press on the back of the
connector, sometimes the games run.

Does the toploading NES play all regions or can it be made to do so (I did
the region lock removal on the old NES, can same be done to Toploader?)

Or, is there good clones to be bought anywhere?

try to push in the connector pins, they get loose after lots of use,
get a NES cleaning kit that helps too, it has a wand to clean games
also
